The Chalk river reactor is down for another 8 months. In May we changed to Th201 for our myocardial perfusion imaging. Unfortunately without Technecium 99M we are not able to perform MUGA scans. The other issue is that our suppliers have jacked up their prices and that means our per patient costs have jumped by 50%. There are calls for the Provincial Government to increase funding to help cover these costs, but so far the Government remains silent.
