The Kingston Heart Clinic opened its doors on July 18, 1994. The Clinic's founding arose out of a need for Cardiologists to conduct outpatient Cardiology services. Initially the total staff complement was seven and has since grown to 22. Currently our locally designed cardiology database, CARDIOfileTM contains over 50,000 patients. This database has led to considerable research opportunities with over 30 abstracts presented at scientific meetings in the last 8 years all over the world. The Kingston Heart Clinic has firmly established itself as a necessary integral part of outpatient Cardiology within the Kingston area and well beyond. Patients are routinely seen from many surrounding areas including Napanee, Belleville, Picton, Coburg, Port Hope, Smith Falls, Perth and Brockville. The Kingston Heart Clinic also services the local Penitentary cardiac patients, RMC and First Nations people from the far north. The clinical services offered by the Clinic include; Cardiology consultations, Electrocardiography, Holter monitoring, Event Monitoring,Treadmill exercise testing, Treadmill exercise echocardiography, Supine bicycle exercise echocardiography, Dobutamine stress echocardiography, Transthoracic echocardiography, Ambulatory 24hr blood pressure monitoring, PAD testing, carotid duplex imaging, exercise MIBI scanning, persantine MIBI scanning, dobutamine MIBI scanning and MUGA scanning. |
